M/s Bharat Biotech International launched its maiden product ‘Revac-B’ (Recombinant Vaccine for Hepatitis-B) in October 1998. The technology was developed by the company in its in-house R & D unit. The vaccine is manufactured using Saccharomyces (yeast) at the company’s premises at Turkapally village, Shamirpet Mandal, R.R. District (AP) with a plant capacity of 100 million doses per annum.
