Dr. Jitendra Singh pushes "Steel" slag roads for hilly terrains

Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh recommended the use of steel slag–based technology for sustainable road construction, particularly in difficult and hilly terrains, noting that its adoption in the Himalayan States and UTs remains limited and needs to be accelerated through targeted outreach and training.

In alignment with the Government of India’s efforts to promote clean transportation, technological self-reliance, and industry-driven innovation, the Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, has entered into an agreement with M/s Vijai Marine Services Pvt. Ltd. (VMSPL), Goa for the project titled “The Smart Sea Project by VACE.”

The Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, has entered into an agreement with M/s NOPO Nanotechnologies India Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, to support the project titled “I4F Feasibility Study: Feasibility Study of HiPCO SWCNT Integration in Sodium-Ion Batteries.” The project is supported under the India–Israel Industrial R&D and Technological Innovation Fund (I4F) Call, aimed at enabling high-impact industrial research with commercial relevance.

Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, has sanctioned financial support to M/s Electrowaves Electronics Pvt. Ltd., Parwanoo, Himachal Pradesh, for the commercialisation of Indigenously Designed, Developed and Manufactured EV Chargers, advancing the national resolve of clean mobility and self-reliance. The initiative strengthens the Government of India’s push towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat by reducing dependency on imported charging solutions and accelerating India’s transition to electric transportation. 

TDB-DST extends support to M/s TechInvention Lifecare Ltd., Navi Mumbai for Indigenous Development of 16-Valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine

The Technology Development Board (TDB), Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, has sanctioned financial support to M/s TechInvention Lifecare Limited, Navi Mumbai for the establishment of a commercial-scale cGMP facility for the production of an indigenously developed 16-valent Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV-16). The supported project aims to strengthen India’s capability in next-generation conjugate vaccines and reduce long-term dependence on imported products through domestic innovation and manufacturing.
