Shri Rajesh Kumar Pathak

 is a 1995 batch Civil Service Officer of IP&TAFS Cadre. He holds Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineering) from University of Roorkee (Now IIT Roorkee) and Master’s degree in Technology (Water Resource Engineering) from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi. He also did Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy & Management (PPM) from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore.

During his 25 years long service career, Shri Pathak has held many challenging assignments in Central Govt. Ministries, Urban Local Body (ULB), Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), Govt. PSU and Autonomous Statutory Bodies etc. He has vast working experience of various Govt. functions viz. Accounts & Finance Functions, Administrative Functions, Audit Functions, Regulatory & Statutory Functions, Policy Formulation & Implementation, Financial Management, Taxation, Tender and Contract Management etc.

Prior to joining TDB, he was holding the charge of Member (Finance) in Inland Waterways Authority of India (IWAI), a statutory body under Ministry of Port, Shipping & Waterways, Govt. of India.

He had also served as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Member (Finance), Telecom Commission & later to Secretary, Dept. of Telecommunications (DOT) & Chairman, Telecom Commission (now Digital Communications Commission).

As Director, Wireless Finance (WF) in DOT, he had successfully conducted mega e-auction of spectrums in October 2016. The 2016 spectrum auction was one of the most complex auctions of natural resources (spectrum). Under his able leadership and guidance, the entire auction was conducted smoothly & transparently in a record time. The e-auction process was later awarded the Excellence (2nd Prize) in the category “IT initiatives to ensure transparency in e-auction in the organization” by CVC in year 2017.
